Ratatouille's ratatouille

Beautiful isn't it? I don't know if I've ever seen a more colorful dish.

My daughter loves Disney's Ratatouille (in book form--the one time I tried the movie on her she was terrified of the old woman with the shotgun in the opening scenes of the show). She's been asking to make ratatouille for quite some time now, so we did. She and I had a lot of fun making it. My husband did all the veggie slicing, so it came together really fun and easily for us.

She helped place all the squashes in a row and was quite proud of herself.

And here was the finished project. Admittedly, she wasn't so impressed with it. :) I thought it was good (perhaps too much garlic--I'd try just one clove), but not so great for the preschooler in my house.

I used the recipe from the SmittenKitchen.
