Orange Coffee Cake

Mmmmm. This coffee cake is so delicious! I love a good coffee cake no matter what, but I think this is a particularly fun twist, especially for this time of year.


This coffee cake is fragrant and moist and has a little more "umph" to it that some coffee cakes--the recipe calls for part whole wheat flour which gives it a bit of nuttiness and extra staying power. The subtle orange flavor in this recipe is achieved by essentially substituting the milk in usual recipes with orange juice.
It makes my mouth feel like it is eating cake but my mind and body feel like I ate something a bit healthier. Perfect.
