Thoughtful Valentine's Gift for Him

This is one of the gifts I am most proud of.
Last year for Valentine's day, this is what my husband came home to.

At the bottom of each balloon was a picture of us from years past, printed in a nice sepia tone from our home computer. Each picture was then glued to a piece of card stock with the balloon ribbon sandwiched in between. Then, on the back of the card stock, I wrote a reason I loved him.

To finish the romantic effect, I sprinkled the bed with rose petals.

And, I might say, that my husband genuinly liked the surprise, so it was fun for the giver and the receiver.

I hope it can serve as inspiration for a romantic gift to your special someone.

Here's where we are linking up.

  1. Great idea! I think I might copy paste that! LOL!
Olga, visiting from Not just a Housewife. Hope you drop by my place when you get a chance!

  2. What a fun idea! Would you be willing to link this (and any other valentine posts) to my Valentine Link Party going on now? I'd love to have your creativity! Thanks, Michelle

  3. Great idea. I hope you will link up to my I Heart Projects Party!

  4. Saw you at Tatertots and Jello... What a sweet idea! Love it!!

  5. Well you did inspire me and I did something similar for our 11th Anniversary! If you want you can check the link here:

  6. This is such a cute idea! I think it would be nice to add pictures of your husband with your kids and ask your kids reasons they love him and write them on the back of them. Thanks for the great idea!

  7. What a fun idea! Very romantic and sweet. My husband would be excited if he came home and the bed was made!

  8. This is the most unique gift idea that i have seen. I would simply fall for this if my wife is gonna do something like this on the valentine's day. Its also good for anniversaries.

  9. Just know if you use real roses they can stain if you move around. I did it on the floor and had a heck of a time getting them out of my carpet. Silk ones you can get at the Dollar Tree some times and Michael's or JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby with the coupons. Saver than not.

It is always fun to hear from our readers. Thanks for stopping by!
