Here's a new spin on a Winnie the Pooh Party:
Pink, polka dots, and Classic Winnie the Pooh--super sweet and cute.
My little girl just turned 2.
She's crazy for Winnie the Pooh, so it was pretty obvious that'd be the most fun for her.
Last year we threw her a Pink Puppy party, and the pink must of stuck, because she is crazy about pink, and every time I tried to talk to her about her bday she would always say, "pink cake!"
Soooo, pink cake it was! What can I say, I'm here to please. :)
Since it was practically cupcake size (I cooked it in a ramekin), and in order to make in Winnie-the-Pooh-ish, I added a "cupcake" topper to it, which I thought was just darling. :)
I wanted to make a carrot cake (it's my favorite, and since she isn't old enough to have her own cake-flavor preferences yet, that's what we get). However, she is allergic to dairy and I frankly, I don't think a carrot cake is a carrot cake without the cream cheese frosting. So, she got her own little cake with dairy-free frosting while the rest of us ate a pretty fabulous carrot cake with lemon-cream cheese frosting. MMM! Made everyone happy. As I said, I'm here to please.
Anyway, it was cute. Worked like a charm to cook it in the ramekin and I thought the baby-soft pink with chocolate cake was a sweet, fresh take on a Winnie-the-Pooh theme. I decorated the walls with classic-style Winnie the Pooh drawings too--cute, cute! And the birthday girl was ecstatic! Truly adorable watching her scream and jump with excitement at the Winnie-the-Pooh everything and her very own pink cake. :)
