Pumpkin and Cinnamon Chip Scones

Need a new breakfast idea?

This one's pretty self explanatory.... but delicious!

Here's the recipe:

Pumpkin Cinnamon Chip Scones
2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
!/4 cup butter, chilled
1 cup pumpkin
1/4 cup milk
Cinnamon or chocolate chips

Combine all the dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Mix pumpkin and milk, then add to dry mixture. Mix with a fork till just mixed, (its okay if its a little lumpy). Add cinnamon chips or chocolate chips. Spoon onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 12.

*You can usually find cinnamon chips around the holidays in the seasonal baking aisle.

  1. I just made some cinnamon chip scones myself! They were so buttery, tender, soft, and delicate. Mmm. Without a doubt, my fav!!

I used heavy cream instead of pumpkin and milk but I'll have to try your pumpkin version next time!
