Along with the fall weather come some chilly mornings, and what better to warm you up than some sweet, gooey, oatmeal?
Sometimes the regular cinnamon and sugar gets old...
But here's a twist, PUMPKIN oatmeal!
So easy and quick and delicious.
Its almost like getting pumpkin pie or pumpkin cookies for breakfast without the guilt!
Here's my recipe.
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1 cup oatmeal (I used quick oats)
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt, nutmeg, and cloves
Bring water and milk to a boil. Add oatmeal and boil for 1 minute (may need to change time depending type of oatmeal. Follow box directions). Turn off heat and add remaining ingredients. Mix it all together. Dish up and top with a splash of milk. (Makes 2 servings).
