It was time for some new hair clips at our house!
And what could be cuter than some girly Valentine's pinks and reds?
I made several varieties (as you can see) by layering hearts and buttons. Honestly, I think I got a little carried away. I worked on it over a few days--once or twice a day when I had a minute I'd cut out some hearts and search through the button tin. Then, before I knew it, I had more hair bows then my girls need that's for sure.
Oh well, they're pretty cute. I think the pink one on the center bottom is my favorite, and it just so happens to match like a million of my girls' outfits. The layered on the center top is my 5-year-old's favorite, while the "band-aid" ones are my 3-year-old's favorites. I must say, it never crossed my mind that they looked like band aids until she said that. :) Oh the mind of a little child. :)
I cut out the hearts, layered them, stacked them, put buttons on them and then decided to use some embroidery floss to add cute stitch marks on them. That little embellishment did the trick--now they look "finished" and cute as can be.
The girls were ready to wear them the very next day too. Even baby girl got to don one on her headband. :)
All decked out and ready for Valentine's!
