Herb Garden Box

Would you believe me when I told you my mom got this awesome wooden planter for only $1?! Totally true.
I actually really liked it just wood, but since it was going on our soon-to-be-decorated deck, it had to get a face lift to match the decor.
Ta, da! Lime green!
Love it. :) And so easy. Whoever invented spray paint is awesome. :)
I bought Valspar spray paint (paint and primer in one for the raw wood) and sprayed it. Easy peasy.
Then I bought good potting soil and planted a few herbs, let them grow a month so they were all lush and pretty, and voila. Great little herb box!

The larger plant on the left is an ornamental cabbage just for fun.
The herbs are basil, oregano, parsley and chives. Yum-o. I've used the basil and oregano for pizza and extra-yummy grilled cheese sandwiches, the chives for a fun garlic-chive butter for corn on the cob and the parsley as a garnish. And this is only the beginning... :)

Here's a little bonus sneak-peak at my newly transformed deck too. It's coming along lovely. :) Can't wait to share it with you guys. Soon. :)
