Crunch time for classroom Valentines!
I saw this crazy-adorable idea months ago over at Dandee Designs, and I was happy that my daughter also thought it was great. Even more happy that Danyelle (of Dandee Designs) provided the printable for it!
Love them! So colorful and fun, and the typography on the printable is just perfect.
I've mentioned before that for some reason I have always had a huge love of friendship bracelets. I had so much fun making them when I was a kid, and come to find out, I still really enjoy making them (I'm almost finished on some adorable knotted heart friendship bracelets for my older girls). Is it the embroidery floss itself? All the colors? I've been interested for quite some time in trying out embroidery, so I'm wondering if it is the actual floss that I like so much--I have the same type of weird fascination with yarn.
Anyway, doesn't really matter I suppose.
My oldest daughter received a bracelet-making kit for her birthday, so she too has enjoyed making a lot over the last 6 months or so, so she was super on-board with this idea.
We decided to stick with basic braids for ease, which I think was great. Danyelle said it took her daughter an hour and a half or so, but it took us about 2 or 3 weeks of doing a few a night. Also fine, we just planned ahead and it was a fun project for us to work on together.
Look at all those fun colors! The first night we simply sat down and "designed," cut-out and knotted each bracelet so that they were ready to go.
Thanks Danyelle for the idea and the printables!
Hope you are having fun preparing for Valentine's day. :)
